The prices of the sample trips below, unless otherwise stated, are based on participation of two people with overnight stays in double rooms including breakfast. If you are traveling with more people, we are happy to provide you with a customized quote. Upon arrival, you will receive a detailed route description to each hotel and detailed descriptions of the sights.
We also organize special trips with children in every age category.
You can also spend part of your trip in Panama or Nicaragua.
For example, if you have a layover in Panama, you could spend a few days here.

TRIP TO DE VOLCANOS AND CARIBBEAN COST
Day 1: Arrival in San Jose, transfer to a hotel just outside Alajuela.
Day 2: The car will be delivered to your hotel. Today you can visit the Poas volcano. Overnight in Alajuela.
Day 3: Today you will go to the Rincon de la Vieja volcano national park. You will stay at a hacienda.
Day 4: There is a lot to do at Rincon such as horse riding, Canopy, and beautiful walks through the volcanically active area. A visit to the park is more than worth it. (Closed on Mondays)
Day 5: Today you will go via the Arenal Lake to La Fortuna. This place is located in the shadow of the Arenal volcano. Stay in La Fortuna.
Day 6: Stay in La Fortuna. A visit to one of the hot springs or a walk to the waterfall or over the old lava fields are some of the possibilities.
Day 7: Today you will go to Boca Tapada on the border with Nicaragua.
Day 8: Stay in Boca Tapada. Today you have a boat trip on the Rio San Carlos and a walk through the jungle.
Days 9/10: To Sarapiqui, where you can go white water rafting, horseback riding or visit the La Selva biological reserve.
Days 11/12: To the Caribbean coast. You will stay 2 days in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. A beach resort with a Caribbean atmosphere.
Day 13: To the Orosi Valley. From the hotel, where you will stay for two nights, you have a beautiful view over the valley. A tour of this beautiful valley is more than worth it, for example, a visit to the Tapanti park.
Day 14: Today you can take an excursion to the Irazu volcano or visit Guayabo, an excavation site of an ancient Indian settlement.
Day 15: Via Cartago with a possible visit to the basilica, you will drive back to Alajuela. At the end of the afternoon, you will return the car to the hotel.
Day 16: Transfer to the airport for your return flight.

EAST AND WEST COAST ROUND TRIP
A trip with various highlights of Costa Rica, including two three-day stays at the beach.
Day 1: Arrival in Costa Rica and transfer to your hotel near the airport in Alajuela.
Day 2: Your rental car, a Daihatsu Bego 4x4, will be delivered to the hotel. Today, you will head to Uvita on the Pacific coast.
Day 3: You can visit Ballena Park today. Stay in Uvita.
Day 4: To San Gerardo del Dota in the central mountains. The area to spot the Quetzal.
Day 5: To the Orosi Valley, a beautiful coffee valley.
Day 6: You can visit the Irazu volcano, Tapanti Park, and take a tour of the beautiful coffee valley, including the oldest church in Costa Rica and the ruins of Ujarras. Stay in the Orosi Valley.
Day 7: To the Caribbean coast, Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. You will stay at the beach in Cocles.
Day 8/9: You can visit Cahuita and/or Manzanillo parks, the Bribri Indians, and enjoy the beach.
Day 10: To the Sarapiqui area.
Day 11: You can visit the La Selva biological research center, go rafting, take a boat trip on the Sarapiqui River, take a trip on the Aerial Tram, or go horseback riding. Stay in Sarapiqui.
Day 12: To Caño Negro. Here, you can take a boat trip through the wetlands and see caimans, various species of monkeys, and many bird species.
Day 13: To La Fortuna, in the shadow of the Arenal volcano.
Day 14: You can visit the La Fortuna waterfall, hike over the old lava fields, and go to one of the hot springs.
Day 15: To Monteverde, known for its cloud forest.
Day 16: You can take a walk through one of the cloud forests, walk over bridges above the cloud forest, do a canopy tour, and more.
Day 17: Take the ferry from Puntarenas to Paquera. Stay at Playa Tambor.
Day 18/19: Stay at Playa Tambor.
Day 20: To Alajuela, a hotel near the airport. You will return the rental car to the hotel.
Day 21: Transfer to the airport for the return flight.

NATIONAL PARKS TOUR INCLUDING TORTUGUERO
Day 1: Arrival in San Jose and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Stay in San José. You can explore the city today and visit one of the many museums, for example.
Day 3: Excursion to Tortuguero National Park. You will be picked up early in the morning for your bus and boat transfer to Tortuguero National Park. In the afternoon, you will have an excursion to the village. Accommodation in Tortuguero is based on full board.
Day 4: Stay in Tortuguero. A boat excursion through the national park with an English-speaking guide and a guided walk are included.
Day 5: Return by boat and bus. Your rental car will be delivered during lunch. You will continue on to Sarapiqui on the river of the same name.
Day 6: You can visit the La Selva Biological Center in the morning, and then continue on to La Fortuna, the smoke of the Arenal volcano. You can take a walk through the lava fields or visit one of the hot springs. The La Fortuna waterfall is also worth a visit.
Day 7: Stay in La Fortuna.
Day 8: Today, you will drive through Lake Arenal to the cloud forests of Monteverde. Especially known for its cloud forest, the last 34 km uphill is over an unpaved road with potholes and bumps.
Day 9: Stay in Monteverde. You can visit the nature park or take a walk on bridges over the cloud forest, among other things.
Day 10: You will go down via the other side, also a bad road, but only 17 km, and continue your journey to Manuel Antonio.
Day 11: Stay in Manuel Antonio. A visit to the national park is a must. (closed on Mondays)
Day 12: To Playa Tortuga.
Days 13 and 14: Stay in Ojochal. You can take excursions from here to Corcovado National Park or Caño Island.
Day 15: To San Gerardo del Dota.
Day 16: You can take a walk in search of the Quetzal, the sacred bird of the Maya, early in the morning. Via Cartago, with a visit to the basilica or the Orosi valley, for example, you will return to Alajuela. You will return the car to the hotel in the afternoon.
Day 17: Transfer to the airport for your return flight.

TRIP WITH CORCOVADO
Day 1: Arrival in San Jose and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Your car will be delivered to your hotel in the morning. Today you will drive to the Orosi Valley where you will stay for two nights. From the hotel, you will have a magnificent view of the valley. A round trip is more than worth it.
Day 3: Today, you can visit the Irazu volcano, or go rafting or kayaking in Turrialba.
Day 4: You will drive to the Sarapiqui area.
Day 5: Stay in Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui. You can, among other things, take a boat trip on the Sarapiqui River, where you can see crocodiles, howler monkeys, and poisonous frogs. Or you can take an excursion to the La Selva Biological Center.
Day 6: Your journey will take you further to La Fortuna. This place is located in the shadow of the Arenal volcano.
Day 7: Stay in La Fortuna. A visit to one of the hot springs or a hike to the waterfall are some of the possibilities.
Day 8: Return to Alajuela, where you will return the car at the hotel in the afternoon.
Day 9: Transfer to the airport for a local flight to Drake. Your stay in Corcovado is based on full board and includes two day trips. One day trip, guided by an English-speaking guide, through the Corcovado National Park, and a day trip to Caño Island, where you can snorkel off the coast. You will undoubtedly see dolphins and maybe a whale.
Days 10 to 12: Stay in Corcovado. (full board)
Day 13: Return by boat, bus, and plane to Alajuela. Transfer to your hotel near the airport.
Day 14: Transfer to the airport for your return flight.

22-DAY TOUR THROUGH COSTA RICA
Day 1: Arrival in Costa Rica, transfer to your hotel near the airport outside Alajuela.
Day 2: Your rental car will be delivered to your hotel in the morning. Today, you can visit the Poas Volcano. Stay in Alajuela.

Day 10/11: Go to Sarapiqui. You will stay just outside the village and feel like you're in the jungle. You can visit the La Selva Biological Station, take a boat ride on the Sarapiqui River, go horseback riding, rafting, etc.
Day 12/13/14: Go to the Caribbean coast. You will stay three days in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. A seaside resort with a Caribbean atmosphere. Cocles Beach is across from the hotel.
Day 15: Go to the Orosi Valley. The hotel has a beautiful view of the valley. A tour around the reservoir is recommended.
Day 16: Today, you can, for example, visit the Irazu Volcano or the Guayabo archaeological site. You will stay in the Orosi Valley.
Day 17: Via Cartago, where you can visit the basilica, you will continue to San Gerardo del Dota. The next morning, you can take a walk in search of the Quetzal.
Day 18/19/20: Go to Ojochal. You will stay here for 3 nights. Ojochal is a beautiful base for trips to Corcovado National Park or Caño Island, Ballena Park, or the Boruca Indians.
Day 21: Return to Alajuela. You will return the rental car to the hotel in the late afternoon.
Day 22: Transfer to the airport for your return flight.

UNKNOWN COSTA RICA
Day 1. Arrival in Costa Rica, transfer to your hotel in San José.
Day 2. Your rental car will be delivered in the morning. You will go via the Poás Volcano to the north, near the border with Nicaragua, to Boca Tapada.
Day 3. Today, you will have a guided jungle walk and a boat or kayak ride on the San Carlos River.
Day 4. You will travel to the Sarapiquí area.
Day 5. In the morning, you will have a guided walk through the La Selva Biological Center, where you will spot many animals such as pecari and agouti, as well as toucans and trogons. You can also go rafting or horseback riding.
Day 6. You will continue to the Orosi coffee valley.
Day 7. You can take a tour of the coffee valley, including the oldest still-in-use church in Costa Rica, a ruined church, and a dam. You can also visit the Irazu volcano or the Tapanti Park.
Day 8. Today, you will visit the San Gerardo del Dota cloud forest. Via the central mountain range, you will go up to 3000 meters and descend via a steep road to the beautiful and intimate Quetzal valley, the place in Costa Rica where you can spot the Quetzal, the sacred bird of the Incas and the Mayas. In the afternoon, you can take a walk through the private reserve.
Day 9. You will continue to the Piedras Blancas jungle, where you will stay for three nights and all meals are included.
Day 10. You will have a guided jungle walk.
Day 11. Piedras Blancas
Day 12. You will go to the Golfo Dulce coast to Puerto Jimenez, where you will stay for three nights at a beach hotel.
Day 13/14. Stay in Puerto Jimenez.
Day 15. You will go to Ojochal.
Day 16. You can visit the Ballena Park, the Boruca Indians, or the Corcovado Park.
Day 17. You will go to Alajuela, a hotel near the airport, where you will return the rental car.

Day 1: Arrival in Costa Rica, transfer to your hotel in downtown San Jose. Your neighbors are the National Theater and the Gold Museum.
Day 2: You can explore the city.
Day 3: Excursion to Tortuguero National Park. You will be picked up early in the morning for your transfer by bus and boat to Tortuguero National Park. In the afternoon, you will have an excursion to the village. The stay in Tortuguero is based on full board.

Day 4: Stay in Tortuguero. You will have a boat excursion through the national park led by an English-speaking guide and an excursion through the private area.
Day 5: Return by boat and bus. Your rental car will be delivered during lunch. You will continue on to the Sarapiqui area.
Day 6: You will have an excursion in the La Selva Biological Center. You will spot many animals here. Overnight in Sarapiqui.
Day 7: In the morning, you will have an excursion at Tirmbina, where you can see how the indigenous people used to make cocoa. Then you will go on to La Fortuna, under the smoke of the Arenal volcano.
Day 8: Stay in La Fortuna. You can take a walk on the old lava fields, to the La Fortuna waterfall, and to one of the hot springs.
Day 9: To Rincon de la Vieja. Known for its volcanic activity.
Day 10: You can take a walk through the park with its bubbling mud pools and beautiful waterfalls.
Day 11: Today you will go to Nicaragua. You will return the rental car at the border. You will cross the border on foot and receive another rental car on the Nicaraguan side. Further to Granada.
Day 12: Stay in Granada. "Colonial pearl," "glorious trading city," "most beautiful city in Nicaragua": these are commonly heard descriptions of Granada. Lovers of colonial cities don't want to miss the oldest city in Central America.
Day 13: To Leon.
Day 14: Stay in Leon. The cultural, religious, and intellectual heart of Nicaragua is Leon. With its beautiful churches, prestigious university, and impressive volcanic environment, this city is not to be missed on a visit to Central America. The colonial past and turbulent resistance history also make Leon a city with a history, the traces of which are still palpable today.
Day 15: To Rivas.
Day 16: During your stay in Rivas, you can visit the volcano island of Ometepe today. Isla de Ometepe is an island of 276km2 located in Lake Nicaragua. The island is completely dominated by the two volcanoes: Concepción and Maderas, which are 1610 meters and 1394 meters high, respectively. Concepción was especially active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and the last eruption dates back to 1957. The Maderas volcano has probably not been active since the 13th century. The slopes of this volcano are therefore abundant with beautiful jungle forests and harbor quite a bit of wildlife.
Ometepe
Day 17: Back to Costa Rica. At the border, you will return the car and receive another rental car at the Costa Rican border. Head to Tamarindo, Samara, or the southern coast of Nicoya to relax on the beach for the last few days.
Day 18/19: Tamarindo, Samara, or the southern coast of Nicoya.
Day 20: Return to a hotel near the airport. Return the rental car here.
Day 21: Transfer to the airport for the return flight.
NATURE, ADVENTURE AND CULTURE
Due to the situation in Nicaragua, we are not currently organizing trips to this country.
Day 1: Arrival in Costa Rica, transfer to your hotel near the airport.
Day 2: You will be picked up early for a rafting excursion. Breakfast will be provided along the way. You will raft the final stretch to the lodge. You will stay overnight on the Pacuare River. In the afternoon, you can do a canopy tour. All meals are included here.
Day 3: You leave the lodge again by raft. Your rental car will be waiting for you in Siquirres for the rest of the journey to Sarapiqui.
Day 4: You have an excursion at the La Selva Biological Station. You will see many animals here. Overnight in Sarapiqui.
Day 5: In the morning, you have an excursion at Tirimbina, where you can see how the Indians used to make cocoa. Then you go north towards the border with Nicaragua. Boca Tapada.
Boca Tapada
Day 6: You have a guided walk through the jungle and a boat trip on the Rio San Carlos. Overnight in Boca Tapada.
Day 7: To Caño Negro. Here are wetlands.

Day 14: To Rivas or San Juan del Sur.
Day 15: If you stay in Rivas, you can visit the volcanic island of Ometepe today. Or you can stay on the beach in San Juan. The department is famous for its beautiful beaches. The formerly small fishing village of San Juan del Sur has grown into a tourist attraction as a result.
Day 16: Back to Costa Rica. At the border, you will return the car and receive a rental car at the Costa Rican border. Further to Tamarindo, Samara, or the south coast of Nicoya to relax on the beach for the last few days.
Day 17/18/19: Tamarindo, Samara, or the south coast of Nicoya.
Day 20: Return to the hotel near the airport. Here you return the rental car.
Day 21: Transfer to the airport for the return flight.
