Day 1: Arrival in Costa Rica. One of our staff members will greet you at Juan Santamaria airport and arrange your transfer to downtown San Jose. Hotel Presidente. The neighbors are the national theater and the gold museum.

Day 2: You can explore the city. The national theater, the gold museum, and the covered market are something special.

Day 3: Early in the morning, you will be picked up and go to Tortuguero in international company. Breakfast is provided along the way. You will go to Mawamba Lodge in Tortuguero by bus and boat. All meals and excursions are included. In the afternoon, you will go by boat to the village and take a walk with a guide.

Day 4: You have a guided walk through the lodge's own area. You will visit, among other things, the frog garden and the butterfly garden. In the afternoon, you will take a boat trip through the canals and creeks of the park.

Day 5: After breakfast, you will go by boat and then by bus to Guapliles. Here you will have a farewell lunch, and your rental car will be ready for the further journey to Sarapiqui. La Selva Verde lodge.

Day 6: To the north near the border with Nicaragua. Boca Tapada. Hotel Pedacito de Cielo.

Day 7: You have a boat trip on the Rio San Carlos and a jungle walk with a guide.

Day 8: To La Fortuna under the shadow of the Arenal volcano. Hotel Arenal Springs Resort.

Day 9: Stay at Arenal Springs Resort. You will take a walk with a guide over the old lava fields of Arenal, and you will visit the hot springs of Baldi, including a dinner buffet.

Day 10: By ferry to the south of the Nicoya peninsula. The beautiful beach hotel Tango Mar.

Day 11, 12, 13: Stay at Tango Mar. You can, among other things, go snorkeling at Tortuga Island.

Day 14: To the Country Inn hotel not far from the airport. You will drop off the rental car at the hotel.

Day 15: Transfer to the airport.

BEAUTYFULL TRIP WITH TRANSFERS

Day 2: You can explore the city. The covered market is something special.

Day 3: Early in the morning, you will be picked up and taken to Tortuguero in international company. Breakfast is provided on the way. By bus and by boat, you will go to your lodge in Tortuguero. All meals and excursions are included. In the afternoon, you will take a boat to the village and take a walk with a guide. From July to October, the green sea turtle lays eggs on the beach in Tortuguero. You can arrange an optional excursion to this beach on-site.

Day 4: You have a guided walk through your own area. You will visit, among other things, the frog garden and the butterfly garden. In the afternoon, you will take a boat tour through the canals and creeks of the park.

Day 5: After breakfast, you will go by boat and then by bus to Guapliles. Here you will have a farewell lunch and a bus transfer will be ready for the rest of the journey to La Fortuna, under the shadow of the Arenal volcano. Hotel Arenal Springs Resort.

Day 6: Stay at Arenal Springs Resort. You will have a guided walk over the old lava fields of Arenal and visit the Baldi hot springs, including a dinner buffet.

Day 7: Stay at Arenal Springs Resort.

Day 8: You will go by bus-boat-bus transfer across Lake Arenal to Monteverde. Hotel Belmar.

Day 9: You will be picked up in the morning for a walk on bridges above the cloud forest. If you wish, you can also do a canopy here. In the early evening, you will be picked up for a night walk through Monteverde Park.

Day 10: Transfer to the south of the Nicoya Peninsula. The beautiful beach hotel Tango Mar. Day 11,12,13: Stay at Tango Mar. You can, among other things, go snorkeling at Tortuga Island.

Day: 11,12,13: Stay in Tango Mar. You can do snorkling in Tortuga Island.

Day 14: Transfer to a hotel not far from the airport.

Day 15: Transfer to the airport.

Trip 1: (INCLUDING MONTEVERDE, RINCON, ARENAL, CARIBBEAN COAST)

Day 1: Arrival in Costa Rica, transfer to your hotel located near the airport.

Day 2: Your rental car, a Suzuki Jimny 4*4, will be delivered to the hotel. Today, you will head to Monteverde, known for its cloud forest.

Day 3: Stay in Monteverde. You can take a walk through one of the cloud forests, walk on bridges above the cloud forest, or do a canopy tour.

Day 4: Head to Rincon de La Vieja, known for its volcanic activity.

Day 5: Stay in Rincon. You can visit the park with its bubbling mud pools and beautiful waterfalls. (Note that the park is closed on Mondays)

Day 6: To La Fortuna, at the foot of the Arenal volcano.

Day 7: Stay in La Fortuna. You can take a walk on the old lava fields, visit the La Fortuna waterfall or enjoy the hot springs.

Day 8: Head north, near the border with Nicaragua, to Boca Tapada.

Day 9: Stay in Boca Tapada. You can take a walk through the jungle, take a boat trip or go kayaking on the San Carlos River.

Day 10: To Sarapiqui. You will spend the night in a tent in the jungle. If you do not wish to do so, we can reserve a hotel for you.

Day 11: Stay in Sarapiqui. You can go rafting, horseback riding or do a canopy tour. You can also visit the La Selva and Tirimbina biological reserves.

Day 12: To the Caribbean coast, Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. The beautiful Cocles beach is located opposite the hotel.

Day 13/14: Stay in Puerto Viejo. You can visit the Cahuita and Manzanillo parks or the Bribri indigenous people.

Day 15: To Alajuela.

Day 16: Transfer to the airport.

Trip 2: (INCLUDING OROSIVALLEY, ARENAL, RINCON, AND THE NORTHERN PACIFIC COAST)

Day 1: Arrival in Costa Rica, transfer to your hotel in San José.

Day 2: To the Orosi Valley.

Day 3: You can visit the Irazu volcano and take a tour of the beautiful coffee valley.

Day 4: To Sarapiqui. You will spend the night in a tent in the jungle. If you do not wish to do so, we can reserve a hotel for you.

Day 5: Stay in Sarapiqui. You can go rafting, horseback riding, or do a canopy tour. You can also visit the La Selva and Tirimbina biological reserves.

Day 6: Head north towards the border with Nicaragua. Boca Tapada.

Day 7: Stay in Boca Tapada. You can take a walk through the jungle, go on a boat tour, or go kayaking on the San Carlos River.

Day 8: To La Fortuna, located under the shadow of the Arenal volcano.

Day 9: Stay in La Fortuna. You can take a walk over the old lava fields, visit La Fortuna waterfall, or relax in the hot springs.

Day 10: To Rincon de La Vieja, known for its volcanic activity.

Day 11: Stay in Rincon. You can visit the park with its bubbling mud pools and beautiful waterfalls. (Note that the park is closed on Mondays)

Day 12: To Samara on the Pacific coast. Samara has one of the safest beaches in Costa Rica.

Day 13/14: Stay in Samara.

Day 15: To Alajuela.

Day 16: Transfer to the airport.

Trip 3: (O.A. MONTEVERDE, ARENAL, SARAPIQUI EN DE PACIFISCHE ZUIDKUST)

Day 6: To Sarapiqui. You will spend the night in a tent in the jungle. If you do not wish to do this, we can reserve a hotel for you.

Day 7: Stay in Sarapiqui. You can go rafting, horseback riding, or do a canopy tour. Visit the biological reserves of La Selva and Tirimbina.

Day 8: To the Orosi Valley.

Day 9: You can visit the Irazu volcano and take a tour of the beautiful coffee valley.

Day 10: To San Gerardo del Dota in the Quetzal Valley.

Day 11: In the early morning, you can go with a guide in search of the Quetzal, the sacred bird of the Mayas. Then, head to Ojochal or Jaco.

Ojochal is a quiet village in the south of the Pacific. From there, you can visit the Ballena or Corcovado parks, the island of Caño, or the quiet beaches. Jaco is a slightly livelier coastal town in the central Pacific, with many restaurants and bars. Jaco is ideal for surfers.

Days 12/13/14: Stay in Ojochal or Jaco.

Day 15: To Alajuela.

Day 16: Transfer to the airport.

Day 1: Arrival in Costa Rica and transfer to your hotel in San Jose.

Day 2: Stay in San Jose.

Day 3: Early in the morning, you will be picked up for a fully catered excursion to Tortuguero. All meals and local excursions are included. You will take a bus and boat to the lodge near the national park. Breakfast is offered along the way. After lunch, you will have an excursion to the village. In the evening, you can take an optional excursion to the turtle beach. From July to September, the green sea turtle lays eggs on the beach of Tortuguero. This must be booked locally ($35 per person). In the afternoon, you will have a guided boat tour to the village.

Day 4: Boat excursion through the national park and an excursion through the private reserve, including a butterfly garden and frog garden.

Day 5: Return by boat and bus to Guapiles. Here you will have a farewell lunch and your rental car will be ready for the further journey to Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui.

Day 6: Stay in Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui. You can, for example, take a trip to the tropical research center La Selva where you will spot many animals.

 

Day 7: To La Fortuna under the smoke of the Arenal volcano.

Day 8: You can visit one of the hot springs or the waterfall of La Fortuna. You can also take a walk through the old lava fields. Stay in La Fortuna.

Day 9: To Monteverde known for its cloud forests.

Day 10: Stay in Monteverde. You can visit one of the cloud forests or walk on bridges above the cloud forest.

Day 11: To Ojochal in the south.

Day 12/13: You can visit the Boruca Indians, waterfalls, and Ballena Park.

Day 14: To Sierpe. You can park the rental car here and take a boat transfer to Drake. This boat trip through mangrove forests and a piece of the Pacific will take you to the lodge (simple lodge). The stay includes all meals and excursions from dinner.

Day 15: A day trip to Corcovado National Park. Two walks through the jungle led by a guide. Lunch is a picnic at the ranger station.

Day 16: A day trip to Caño Island. Here you can go snorkeling. Snorkeling equipment is included. Lunch is a picnic on the beach of the island.

Day 17: Back to Sierpe. Further to San Gerardo del Dota. The Quetzal Valley.

Day 18: In the morning, you can go with a guide in search of the quetzal. Then, for example, via the Irazu volcano to the hotel not far from the airport.

Day 19: Transfer to the international airport.
